Signed on loan from fellow Welsh side Cardiff City in November 2008, Jon is the latest in a long line of home-grown players to graduate from the Bluebird's Academy system.
Already capped by Wales at Under-21 level, he gained the first of his four caps against Malta last February, Brown made his senior league debut for the Bluebirds that same month as a substitute in a goalless draw with Coventry City.
Having also featured in a 3-1 home win over Blackpool the following April, he was handed a 12-month professional contract in the summer and the former Welsh 100 metres schools sprint champion will be hoping to further his footballing education at The Racecourse under the watchful eye of manager Dean Saunders.
