A disappointing scoreless draw, in a game of few chances, against Grimsby Town did little to help either side. Substitute Michael Proctor came close late on when his effort curled just over of Phil Barnes' crossbar, but in the end a draw was probably a fair result from an instantly forgettable encounter.

Brian Little was quick to compare the similarities with our trip to Blundell Park just last month, "We had a similar problem against them about a month ago when we felt that the two teams pretty much cancelled each other out.

"For the first 25 minutes or so we played with the three strikers, but when we didn't score you could feel them getting the ball more in the middle of the park. We thought 'crikey' so we matched them up and try and grind out a result.

"Both teams were pretty much the same as the other, we were man for man all over the park and you just felt that if it was going to be won it would be similar to their place when it was going to be either  a mistake or a special goal.

"It was just a hard-fought game and we worked against each other.

"The one little half a chance was to Michael Proctor, but it went about a foot or so too high.

"It was going to be something like that to win the game otherwise it was going to be a draw.

"I think that it was a hard fought game but probably the right result.

"It's disappointing, but we have got to get as many as we can this week and then we'll look at it again.

"Most of the teams around us have had a disappointing day, although Dagenham won, but we'll dust ourselves down and go again.

"It was a game where both sides played similar tactics and cancelled each other out.

"We said before the game that what we cannot afford to do is to get embarrassed at nil-nil, every point that we get is a good point.

"Perhaps if it is nil-nil, you get frustrated and make silly mistakes; defenders come out when they shouldn't.

"It just takes one little special thing and Proc nearly pulled it off for us.

"Is it a good point? It's better than none, that's for sure.

"We are disappointed because we are at home and we would like to win at home, but we have kept another clean sheet and the team have worked hard.

"Yes we can play better but today was one of those days where you try to grind out a result.

"Both teams can go home thinking that they have ground out a point today.

"Jeff (Whitley) needed to get a game under his belt and we knew that was important for him.

"We started with two in the middle of the park but after half an hour you felt that we might get overrun so we just changed it around a bit.

"We brought Sam (Aiston) on with his legs, we tried with our substitutions to try to win the game, we tried to be positive.

"Both Drewe (Broughton) and Stuart (Nicholson) worked hard but we weren't looking like scoring but we knew that we had the ideal players on the bench to replicate them and hope that one of them does something special as nearly happened.

"We tried everything that we could to win the game and I think that Gavin made one save in the first half but other than that nothing much else to do.

"The clean sheet is important to us as well, that for us is a good think to achieve.

"It would be great if we could get out of trouble within a week or so but it might not be that way.

"We have talked as a group about what we need to do, what we need to achieve, how strong we need to be, how important it is for everybody playing to do it right, how important it is for everybody not playing to be right for the next game, so we are well tuned in to what we have to do.

"We are disappointed not to have won the game, but we have got a point and we will soldier on.

"Peterborough were disappointed not to beat us a couple of weeks ago, but we are ready for it and we are looking forward to the game every bit as much as them.

"I am quite sure it will be a good game and that we can do well against them, but I am mindful of the fact that they are a very good team.

"In fairness to Darren (Ferguson) and Kevin (Russell), they are probably doing one of the hardest things in lower league football, when you are expected to do something and you are expected to do well then that is a hard thing at this level.

"They have our respect and we look forward to the game and hopefully we will do well against them.

"Draws are better than losing, and we are looking stronger that we were a while back, but we are a different team now.

"Have we got enough time? I hope so but we are trying our best and the people who are watching us cannot say that we are not trying our best.

"We looked a little bit tired but we are not using the fact that we have not played for a couple of weeks.

"Having said that, you do get a little bit weary when you are out there but not actually playing games.

"I feel happier having drawn nil-nil today but it is better than a few weeks ago when we were losing those sort of games one-nil.

"We are in a tough run of games at the moment but we have got some games coming up which are must win games. I am aware that we do need to win games but I cannot be disappointed at that result today."
