WHILE we came from behind at Altrincham, a draw was still not good enough for Brian Little or the 1,500 fans who traveled across from North Wales for one of the season's shorter trips.

"We started poorly and have given a bad goal away," he said.

"Everyone was trying, but for me there was only Tom Kearney playing.

"I can't explain why we were as por as we were, but he seemed to be the only one who was trying to put his foot on the ball and pass it around.

"Having said that, we got a couple of chances to have won the game and probably should had done so.

"We have had three really good home performances, but away they have been three so-so performances.

"I did feel that once we got back into the game, then we potentially could push on and win.

"Being the home side, they were always going to put a couple of balls in your box, which could cause you a few problems, but generally, the way Evo and Darran have headed the ball, that's kept them at bay.

"But as I said, there has only been Tom playing today and that's not going to win you football matches at any level.

"I need to get into people's heads, but for some reason we are not playing away from home, they way we are at home. Nobody's telling them to do that, so we have to get through to them to change it.

"It's always important to get the first goal in games and I did feel that had we done that, then we would have won it, but credit to them for working hard.

"Obviously it was a poor goal from our point of view and it's not something we have done too often this season.

"Getting back into the game was hard work and even when we had free kicks we didn't give them the right delivery. We did though show that when we get it right, exactly what we can do.

"We are in a division, where for the moment, we are looked upon as a team that others like to play against. But the disappointing thing is that any reputation we might be gaining from our home performances, is not being taken on our travels.

"We are capable of doing so, but they have to convince themselves.

"I have just had a conversation in the dressing room, about this being the same side that beat Oxford United only four days ago, So do I then have to pick a different team for away games?

"As far as I'm concerned, I can't have a situation where we have players doing it one week, but not the week after.

"There are no more instructions from us, other then get in amongst them, pass the ball, play good football and score a few goals!

"I can't wait forever for the same team that produces at home to do it on our travels. So we might well find that we have different personnel who can do it away from home and I might have to make changes.

"Martin Foyle, Brian Carey and myself will sit down and analyze this game, so we can try and get it right when we head away from the Racecourse.

"There are plenty of things that we have done right at home, but we must start winning games away.

"Today is a game that many people would have said we should have won, so we have a little bit of work to do to get it right and we will do our best to achieve just that.

"We are all bitterly disappointed.

"I have put together a squad of players who I look upon as my own, within the guidelines that I have got. I'm happy with them, but I'm disappointed with them today.

"We might have scrapped a point at York, but today's exactly the same it has been a week or so back.

"I have to take the criticism or blame for that same team performing like they did on Thursday and not today. I have to do that.

"I'm disappointed in my players, because I have to do that, when there really is not need for them to do that."
