Dean: I'm Happy With The Victory - But!
A game that contained plenty of talking points, as the Reds scored through Lamine Sakho and held on for a very welcome win at Ebbsfleet United.
"Yes I'm happy with the victory, but this was aways going to be difficult game," said Dean Saunders.
"Ebbsfleet are far better than their league position shows and they also have a number of players who have performed well in the Football League.
"This was a big win for us, but to be honest - I thought we were lucky.
"The chances we had, we should have finished them off, but they also had theirs - having said that the ball has gone our way today.
"They were very direct, hitting long balls and turning us around. There were long throws that we had to stand up to, which we did for the most part.
"As I said, the ball has broken our way. Maxi has made a couple of good saves, which were important.
"It was so frustrating, because at times we looked we were trying our best to give away as many free kicks as we could.
"They were banging balls into our box and then it doesn't matter how many man you have in there, you're relying on the ball bouncing your way and today it did.
"We got the win, but I'm not happy about the manner in which we did it."
