THE Reds recorded their first away success of the season by winning 2-0 at Bath City, although manager Dean Saunders saw room for improvement.
"It was a good solid performance, although we should have won by more goals," said the boss.
"We had a few chances to make 3-0, but didn't take them. We should have made it more of scoreline than it was.
"At least we have got the three points, as this is not an easy place to come. The pitch was dry, but we played some lovely football.
"Neil Ashton was getting forward and playing some good stuff with Nat Knight-Percival on the left. While Dean Keates and Andy Morrell were outstanding, but there were a number of good displays.
"Most of all they worked their socks off and number of them were out on their feet. I was just about to bring Morrell off at the end, when Adrian's hamstring went.
"So the one's I've put in have done well, which is pleasing. Curtis, Kevin Gall, who blew up with 20 minutes to go, as well as Jamie Tolley, who helped us finish the game off.
"The idea was to put some fresh legs in at the start to try and give us a little bit of an advantage over them.
"We've scored the opening goal with a long throw, which is something we knew they had struggled with last week and that influenced my decision with Curtis as well.
"Young Declan has not done anything wrong, but it is hard for him to play as many games as he has recently.
"The second was a good goal as well, a Smith header from a free kick we have worked on.
"We are still doing silly things, but we will work on those on the training ground. I said last week that we have a new back four and goalkeeper, and there are things we will have to put right, just as we did last year.
"One thing that was better today, was that we only conceded a couple of free kicks in the first half, which was great.
"I was pleased that Andy Morrell has scored, because he has been working really hard without getting the rewards. Today he must have made their centre back's lives a misery, because he never stopped breathing down their necks.
"But I won't get carried away, liked I'd didn't when they were going against us. I'll just plough on, keep my head down and carry on doing my job."
