Pontin's - Man City 6 Wrexham 3
THE division's two top scoring teams laid on a goal feast for the crowd at Hyde United with hosts Manchester City pulling clear at the end to take the points for the second time in three days.
Twice Wrexham lead City after initially failing behind, first a double from 'goal ace' Simon Spender pushed us in front before the home side levelled deep into first half injury time.
Then three minutes into the second period a great cross from Josh Johnson was converted for our third by a thunderous header from substitute striker Mark Head.
That lead didn't last long though, as a mix up in defence allowed City to bring the score back to 3-3, then some great skills by the home striking pair of Robert Mak and David Ball saw them both finish with a hat-trick a piece.
"To score three goals away from home and still lose is more than disappointing," said coach Joey Jones.
"Our defending was poor for most of the game and while City have some good promising players, we should never have allowed them the time and space to score six times.
"It was a shame to finish the season with two defeats, but overall we have done well, particularly in the second part of the campaign."
