It was a one-sided game for most of the 90 minutes but Joey's Juniors showed great team spirit to hold on in there and come back from Morecambe with a point.
Wrexham took the lead on 13 minutes, when Rob Salathiel chased down a short back pass, took the ball off the keeper and rolled it into an empty net!
Morecambe then laid seige to the Welshmen's goal and we even survived a penalty, when Maxi saved from Phil Jevons, after bringing down the ex-Everton forward inside the box.
After the break we continued to deny the home side, until the 57th minute, when a long run down the left by Jevons ended with a shot from inside the box that beat Maxi.
The Shrimpers then took the lead on 77 minutes, when a ball in from the left, saw Tommo get a foot to it but Danny Carlton tapped home from close range.
That looked to be the likely winner, but out of the blue Jay Colbeck produced a stunning 25-yard shot that curled into the top corner to draw us level.
The young Reds held out during the closing stages to take a valuable point from this encounter at the Globe Arena.
