THE Shropshire Reds have arranged their first social event of the new season - a Race Night, at The Butcher's Arms (known locally as The Wern) Public House, Weston Rhyn on Sunday 31 August.

Racing gets under way at 5.00pm and a barbecue has been arranged.

This promises to be a fun evening, for family and friends, at a venue new to the Shreds in an area with a strong Wrexham following.

Everyone will be made very welcome, and we look forward to meeting up with as many of you as possible.

The Butcher's/Wern is easily found: take the Weston Rhyn road off the A5/A483 Gledrid roundabout, carry on through the village and head for Selattyn. You'll eventually find the pub on your right hand side.
