THE Youth team kept up their recent good record with a 2-0 success over Shrewsbury Town at Colliers Park on Saturday morning.

It might not have been our best performance of the season, but coming less than 48 hours after our extra time FA Youth Cup victory at Stalybridge Celtic on Thursday evening, it was nevertheless very welcome.

The back four were the pick of the side, while Rob Pearson in midfield drove the team on.

George Stewart put us in front before the break, while Matty Hurdman contributed another valuable strike from the centre of the park.
