Yth Alliance - Wrexham 4 Walsall 2
THE Youth team bounced back to winning ways with an excellent 4-2 success over Walsall at Colliers Park on Saturday morning.
They suffered their first reverse of the season at Carlisle in last week's cup tie, but despite going a goal down to the Saddlers, soon recovered to claim the points.
Walsall took the lead in the first half and held onto their advantage until the interval, but it was a different story in the second period.
Three quick goals at the start of the second half really turned things Wrexham's way.
The first goal was scored by a Walsall defender, but under heavy pressure from Obi Anoruo.
The striker then got his name on the scoresheet a few minutes later, before then setting up winger George Stewart with a defence splitting pass that the Irishman converted.
Walsall made a game of it with their second goal of the day on 78 minutes, but late on the points were sealed when Kai Edwards headed home Matty Hurdman's corner.
Wrexham:Tom Bainbridge, Jack Jones, Declan Walker, Kai Edwards, Johnny Hunt, Rob Pearson, Matty Hurdman, Aaron Malton, George Stewart, Marc Head (Nick Rushton 78), Obi Anoruo.
