JUST how the young Dragons managed not to take all three points from their clash with Merseyside rivals Tranmere Rovers was something of a mystery to the watching crowd at Colliers Park this morning.
Winger Louis Moss had set us on the right path with a spectacular 25-yard shot after half an our, that the Rovers keeper got a hand to, but was unable to prevent from entering his net.
Rovers did hit back through Tom Baker from a corner only a few minutes into the second half, but they were then indebted to their keeper for producing a string of fine saves.
Time and time again he denied Louis Moss in particular, but also made saves from Nick Rushton, Luke Carding, Ed Moss and Jordan Kane to ensure Tranmere held onto their draw.
The visitors were picking up a number of yellow cards as the game progressed and with about 20 minutes remaining were reduced to 10-men following a two-footed challenge.
The Youth team will be back in action on Monday evening, when they travel to Fleetwood Town in the FA Youth Cup (7.45pm).
