Young striker Ntumba Massanka joined Wrexham in January 2017 for the remainder of the season on loan from Premier League side Burnley.
Born in Tottenham, North London he moved to Cheetham Hill in Manchester at the age of four. This move led to Massanka being scouted by Manchester United and he joined the youth team spending six years at Old Trafford.
He had a short stint with rivals Manchester City before signing for Burnley in 2013 aged 17 and in 2015 he signed professional terms at Turf Moor.
Massanka’s first team debut came in a loan spell for York City as a substitute, in a 1-0 loss to Newport County in League Two. He would make just three appearances at Bootham Crescent before being recalled by his parent club.
During the 2016/2017 season he signed for League Two Morecambe on loan, where he made eleven appearances but didn’t go on to score. All of his appearances came off the bench for the Shrimps. He featured regularly for the reserves scoring a stunning goal against Wrexham at Colliers Park.
On January 12th 2017 Massanka joined Wrexham on loan making his debut in a 1-0 win over North Ferriby United as a substitute. His first goal came in a 3-1 win over Guiseley, an audacious bicycle kick, his first ever senior goal.
