Centre back Jordan Tunnicliffe joined the Reds in the summer of 2022 from Crawley Town.

As a member of the West Bromwich academy from 2004 to 2013, Nuneaton born Jordan had ventures at Barnsley, Stalybridge and Sutton Coldfield.

The beginning of December 2014 saw Tunnicliffe make his move from Sutton Coldfield to National League side Kidderminster Harriers.

Having made 13 appearances in one and a half years for the Harriers, Jordan remained with his side in their drop to the National League North. In two games, both in the league and FA Trophy, Tunnicliffe scored twice, highlighting his goal scoring prowess as a central defender.

It was in this 2016/17 season that Kidderminster finished second in the National League North, but failed to grasp promotion. AFC Fylde topped the table that year and decided to bring Jordan into the mix to challenge in their upcoming National League season.

In two seasons for the Coasters, Jordan amassed 90 league appearances, including ten goals.

After an incredible first season with Fylde finishing in the play-off spots, they managed to go one step further in the 2018/19 season, beating Harrogate Town and Solihull Moors en route to Wembley.

Tunnicliffe’s Wembley dream was damaged by losing 3-0 to Salford City in the play-off final. Although, eight days later, they overcame Leyton Orient to win the FA Trophy on the hallowed turf to reignite the dream.

Jordan did however find his way to League 2 the following season, but via a transfer to Crawley Town.

In three seasons for Crawley, the centre back made 94 appearances in the league, scoring five goals. On top of this, he made 14 domestic cup appearances, netting twice, including the third goal in a hammering of Premier League side Leeds United.

In the 2020/21 season, Tunnicliffe was named in the League 2 Team of the Season, alongside a familiar Wrexham face in Paul Mullin. Having made 42 appearances in all competitions, he kept 15 clean sheets and scored five goals for the club.

The following season was significantly dampened by a five-month long injury in the opening game of the season to Hartlepool United, but Jordan fought back to make 18 appearances, scoring once.

On the 1st July 2022, Jordan Tunnicliffe joined Wrexham from Crawley Town on a free transfer.

Since joining the club, Tunnicliffe made 29 appearances during the 2022/23 season, registering two goals in the National League.
