Accreditation and Interview Requests

Match Accreditation

Men's First Team

All accreditation for men's first team matches at the STōK Cae Ras must be made through Football DataCo, in line with EFL regulations. This applies to all those seeking to provide broadcast, written or photography coverage at Wrexham AFC home matches. We ask that all accreditation requests are made by 5pm on Thursday for all weekend fixtures, or 5pm on the preceding day for a midweek fixture.

Though we can sometimes accommodate late requests (subject to availability), the deadlines have been set to ensure the smoothest possible service on the day of the game.

All media must apply for accreditation prior to each and every match. Failure to do so will result in media access being denied. Football Dataco verify all accreditation requests and therefore we can not deal with any form of 'on the day' requests.

If you have any queries regarding accreditation for Wrexham AFC home matches at the STōK Cae Ras, please contact media@wrexhamafc.co.uk.

Facilities

On match-days we host a post-match press conference with the Wrexham AFC manager and selected players. All requests for the opposition should be made to the opposing manager, and any additional requests for Wrexham AFC interviews should be directed to the Head of Media and Communications.

We offer refreshments and hot drinks to all media in attendance and a working press room. We have facilities for radio broadcast, including a limited number of ISDN ports, a written press bench and TV gantry as well as WiFi. There is no designated parking for media on match-days.

Women's First Team

Accreditation for women's first-team matches must be made by no later than 48 hours prior to each match, by email to media@wrexhamafc.co.uk. We will reply by email to confirm if your request has been accepted - please do not attend unless you have received this confirmation.

We welcome press requests from all accredited media outlets. If you plan to attend as a freelancer, we ask that you provide confirmation of the outlets you will be representing. Any post-match interview requests must be directed to a member of the Wrexham AFC media department. You will not be granted an interview without seeking permission.

Facilities

Wrexham AFC Women's first-team matches are played at The Rock, Rhosymedre. The Rock has facilities for written press and a TV gantry, including WiFi. There is no designated parking for members of the external media on match-days.

Videography (including fan vlogs)

Videography is not permitted at the STōK Cae Ras, except by the competition's rights-holders. For the avoidance of doubt, unless you have express permission to film, you will not be permitted.

This is covered in the EFL Ground Regulations, which are displayed on this site and are available within the stadium. In particular, we ask supporters to note the following.

17 - Mobile telephones and other mobile devices are permitted within the Ground PROVIDED THAT (i) they are used for personal and private use only (which, for the avoidance of doubt and by way of example only, shall not include the capturing, logging, recording, transmitting, playing, issuing, showing, or any other communication of any Material for any commercial purposes); and (ii) no Material that is captured, logged, recorded, transmitted, played, issued, shown or otherwise communicated by a mobile telephone or other mobile device may be published or otherwise made available to any third parties including, without limitation, via social networking sites.

20 - Save as set out in paragraph 17 above, no person (other than a person who holds an appropriate licence) may capture, log, record, transmit, play, issue, show or otherwise communicate (by digital or other means) any Material in relation to the Match, any players or other persons present in the Ground and/or the Ground, nor may they bring into the Ground or use within the Ground (or provide to, facilitate or otherwise assist another person to use within the Ground) any equipment or technology which is capable of capturing, logging, recording, transmitting, playing, issuing, showing or otherwise communicating (by digital or other means) any such Material.

21 - The copyright, database rights and any other intellectual property rights in and to all Material that you produce at the Ground in relation to the Match, any players or other persons present in the Ground and/or the Ground (whether produced in breach of paragraph 20 above, or pursuant to paragraph 17 above, or otherwise) is hereby assigned (including by way of present assignment of future copyright pursuant to section 91 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988) to the Club and the EFL. You further agree (if and whenever required to do so by the Club and/or the EFL) to promptly execute all instruments and do all things necessary to vest the right, title and interest in such rights to the Club and the EFL absolutely and with full title guarantee

Press & TV Crew Interview Requests

All requests or enquiries relating to Club affairs are to be directed to the Club's media department via email to media@wrexhamafc.co.uk.

We will endeavour to deal with requests from accredited media sources as soon as possible.

Press Conferences

Interview requests with players and staff will be facilitated at our regular press days. Should you wish to attend you must send an email to media@wrexhamafc.co.uk outlining your request beforehand and you will subsequently receive notification granting you or denying you access to the press day.

If your request is recieved later than 24 hours before the press day you may not be given access for that week.

The Club will occasionally call press conferences in the event of a major announcement or ahead of a remarkable fixture. These take place at the Racecourse Ground and media outlets will be notified if this is the case.

Match Photography

Images used in our matchday programme and via the pages of our Club website are provided by our Club Photographers.

Any photographers representing verified organisations looking to attend first team fixtures at the Racecourse should follow the above match accrediation procedure.

Information regarding freelance or independant photographers is at the bottom of this page.

Radio Commentary Requests

Only the official club website of the two teams playing, and the relevant competition rights-holders are automatically permitted to broadcast audio commentary from matches. Any other requests should be made to the Club, via the Football-Dataco system outlined above. Please indicate on your request if you require an ISDN line and, if you have any queries before the match, please contact media@wrexhamafc.co.uk.

Student Requests/Supporter Websites/Unverified Media/Independents/Freelancers

Due to the vast number of requests we receive relating to student projects, supporter blogs/vlogs, independent/freelance photographers or unverified/unrecognised websites/publications, it is unfortunately impossible for us to grant most requests we receive.

Unfortunately, due to the anticipated high demand, we will no longer be able to accommodate freelance media personnel without prior notice from their organisation or agency.

If you do want to make a request, you should follow the above accreditation procedure through Football Dataco for men's first-team matches or email media@wrexhamafc.co.uk with the following information enclosed for any other matches:

  • The reason for your application
  • Proof of publication or your online presence URL's
  • A record of any previous publications relating to Wrexham AFC
  • Examples of relevant work to support your reason for application

Photographers must also provide:

  • National League Licence Number
  • Information about how the photographs will be used
