The Wrexham AFC Community Trust (Charity Number 1130924) runs a number of activities in the community, aimed at a variety of ages. We also visit schools, delivering programmes in the community to support children's growth both in a sporting and also educational environment. To find out more, email community@wrexhamafc.co.uk.

Wrexham AFC Community Trust - List of Weekly Activities

Fit Dragons - Monday (6pm-7.30pm - STōK Cae Ras)

Fit Dragons was introduced at the start of the 2023/24 season, offering a free health programme for men and women aged 35-65 who are looking to lose weight, get fitter and lead a more active life.

Is Fit Dragons for you?

  • Are you aged 35-65?
  • Do you have a BMI of 28+? (Use a BMI Calculator to check)
  • Does your waist measure more than 38in (males) or 31in (females)?

All sessions run on Monday evenings at the STōK Cae Ras, with each cohort following a 12-week programme in which they gain the support and skills needed to help them get fitter and lead a more active life.

Walking Football - Monday (4pm-5pm - Colliers Park), Tuesday (11am-12pm - Wrexham University)

Open to supporters aged 40 and older, we run two walking football sessions each week - one at Colliers Park and one at Wrexham University. All skill levels are welcome.

Wrexham Social - Wednesday (10am-12pm - Centenary Club)

Wrexham Social is a weekly session for anybody aged over 50. Enjoy a chat and a cuppa every Wednesday, and join us for quizzes, games and activities.

Girls-Only Huddle Sessions - Thursday (5pm-6pm - Colliers Park)

Our popular girls-only Huddle sessions run every Thursday at Colliers Park from 5pm-6pm, and is aimed at girls aged 5-11.

Huddle's motto is "Friends. Fun. Footy." with the sessions giving young girls a social environment to play football, meet friends and have fun.

Fun Football - Friday (4pm-5pm - Wrexham University Sports Centre)

Our Fun Football sessions run every Friday night at Wrexham University, delivered by our Community Trust coaches.

Open to boys and girls aged 5-11, the sessions offer skills, games and mini matches all designed to make you fall in love with football.

Powerchair Football - Friday (5.15pm-6.30pm (mixed ability) - Wrexham University Sports Centre)

We are proud to have been the first Football Club in Wales to launch Powerchair Football, with sessions taking place every Friday night at Wrexham University Sports Centre.

Our popular and award-nominated programme is for mixed abilties, with both juniors (children aged 6-16) and adults able to take part in the session from 5.15pm-6.30pm.

Powerchair Football is a fast-paced sport, and we aim to provide opportunities for both playing and the chance to play competitively too. Powerchair Football are open to any supporters with disabilities - not just those who are wheelchair-bound.

Anybody aged six and older can take part in Powerchair Football, but you must be able to control the chair independently. If you need to use the supplied hoist to get into the powechairs, please bring you own sling and have a companion with you to assist you.

To ensure maximum playing time, please see the timetable below:

5pm: Participants arrive and get into chairs
5.15pm: Session starts
6.30pm: Session ends

Wrexham AFC Community Trust - School Holiday Activities

Soccer Schools

Our soccer schools run in the school holidays, with sessions available to book online and discounts available to Junior Dragons members. Keep an eye on the official club channels for more information on the next Soccer School sessions and when they are available to book.

We run Mixed Sessions (5-11-year-olds) and Girls-Only (4-11-year-olds) Sessions, all delivered by the Wrexham AFC Community Trust and taking place on the astro-turf pitch at Wrexham University.

Autism-Friendly Soccer Schools

Autism-Friendly football sessions also run in the school holidays, with sessions organised for both primary-age children and secondary-age children.

Taking place at the Wrexham University Sports Centre, the sessions are organised in conjunction with the Wrexham Branch of the National Autistic Society and run by the Community Trust.

The sessions are free of charge, with the Wrexham Branch of the National Autistic Sociery covering the cost of each child attending. Session dates and information on how to book will be posted on our official club channels.
