Kai Evans made it two goals in as many games for Wrexham AFC Reserves as a young side claimed a point on the road, away to Huddersfield Town.
Evans gave Wrexham the lead in the second-half, but a late Rafa Garcia equaliser meant the points were shared in the Central League fixture.
Wrexham fielded a young side, with Kai Calderbank-Park making his first appearance in goal and four youth triallists among the starting line-up.
A goalless first-half had provided plenty of early action, with both teams hitting the frame of the goal.
Evans was first to go close, cutting inside from the left only to see his long-range shot bounce back off the crossbar on the 13 minutes.
At the other end, Connor Falls headed Ben Midgeley’s corner goalwards on 38 minutes, but Calderbank-Park tipped it onto the bar in spectacular fashion before the loose ball was cleared.
Evans got his goal – following up last week’s winner against Preston – as Jake Bickerstaff ran onto a long goal-kick, beat the defender and crossed for Evans to tap in.
One of Wrexham’s trialists then had a shot well saved on 78 minutes, but the Terriers grew into the game and got their reward four minutes from time.
An unfortunate deflection off the impressive James Rainbird fell kindly for Garcia to score from 15 yards.
Wrexham: Calderbank-Park, Jones, Rainbird, R.Davies, Trialist A, Trialist B, Trialist C (Trialist E 59), Jenkins (Oliver 59), Bickerstaff, Trialist D, Evans
