Owen Cushion rescues late point against league leaders at Colliers Park

16 March 2022

Substitute Owen Cushion scored a last-minute leveller as Wrexham AFC Youth held league leaders Altrincham at Colliers Park.

In a game with little between the two teams, Jayden Matthews’ goal with five minutes remaining looked to be sending the league leaders ten points clear of the Red Dragons.

But Cushion grabbed an equaliser in the 90th minute to ensure Wrexham – who sit third in the National League U19 Alliance Division H table – maintained their recent unbeaten form.

Line-up: Parr, Fountain, D.Davies (R.Davies 75), James, Hitchox, Oliver (Cushion 61), Mountfield, Jenkins, Jones, Hughes (Towse 56), Milner.

Subs not used: Hess, Bell
