Wrexham AFC Women take on the top team in Wales for the first time, when Swansea City travel north for the Adran Trophy second round fixture.
Back-to-back Welsh champions Swansea, who sit top of the Adran Premier again this year with 13 wins and a draw from 14 games, are huge favourites for the game, which takes place on December 19 at Brymbo Sports & Social Club, and kicks off at 2pm.
Super Swans
With a division separating the two teams, Wrexham – who finished runners-up in their group to qualify for this stage – were always going to be underdogs.
But the task facing Steve Dale’s side is as tough as could possibly be after the draw paired Wrexham with Swansea City – the best team in the country.
Swansea are back-to-back Welsh champions, unbeaten in the league for more than three years, and have won 13 from 14 so far in this season’s Adran Premier campaign.
The Swans have also represented Wales in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Winning streak
Wrexham actually go into this game with the longer winning streak, however – the Red Dragons having won their last four in a row under Steve Dale.
Swansea dropped points for the only time this season with a goalless draw against Aberystwyth but have since bounced back to winning ways by beating TNS and Port Talbot.
The Swans come into the match on the back of a 6-0 win against the latter – Katy Hosford and Karmyn Carter both netted twice, and Stacey John-Davis and Nia Rees were also on target.
Wrexham, meanwhile, came from 3-1 down to beat Llandudno Ladies last time out – becoming the first team to beat Llandudno in the league this season.
Rosie Hughes opened the scoring before the visitors hit back to take a commanding lead into the break. In the second-half, Libby Mackenzie pulled one back before TJ Dickens’ equaliser. Rosie Hughes then scored a stoppage-time winner, and Rebecca Pritchard sealed victory even later on.

Defender Erin Lovett is suspended after her red card in the final Adran Trophy group game against Airbus UK Ladies in October.
Ella Clifton-Stringer is struggling to overcome injury, meanwhile, and Abbey Hughes remains a long-term defensive injury absentee too, leaving Wrexham light in defence.
Under-19s Lili Jones and Mia Roberts will be in contention to start as a result, while fellow Under-19 Amber Lightfoot is also available again.
