NEW SHIRT | CLUB DELIGHTED TO REVEAL NEW HOME SHIRT FOR 2021/22 SEASON

Special detail on the shirt commemorates Gresford Disaster .

1 July 2021

Wrexham AFC are delighted to reveal the new home shirt for the 2021/22 season, featuring our newly-signed partners, TikTok as front-of-shirt sponsors.

The 2021/22 retail shirt is priced at £44.95 for adult shirts (M to 5XL), £37.50 in children’s sizes (5XS to S), and £29.95 in baby sizes (3-6m to 1-2 years). Thanks to an incredible response from supporters, our initial stock flew out in record-breaking time, with more than 2,400 sales across two days.

Designed as a throwback to Wrexham’s home shirts at the start of this century, the red Macron home shirts feature white sleeves and black detailing on the collar.

The club’s long-standing partnership with Macron continues for another season as a result, with the shirt’s boasting the brand’s breathable, lightweight M-Performance fabric.

The club badge and Macron’s front-of-shirt logo have both been embroidered.

New for the 2021/22 season, the shirts also feature an embroidered “1934” on the reverse as the Football Club pays homage to the victims of the Gresford Colliery Disaster.

Jamie Reckord and 2020/21 Young Player of the Year Jordan Davies modelled this year’s new home shirts, with Ifor Williams Trailers lending a hand for the big reveal.

Ifor Williams Trailers agreed a strategic and supportive move to become the Club’s official short sponsor, allowing TikTok to take their place on the front of the new shirts.

And after seeing the new kit in person for the first time, Davies said: “It’s a lovely shirt, a really nice design and some really big names sponsoring the shirt this season.

“I’m really excited. It’s a great time to be at the club, and to be a part of this evolving journey… I can’t wait.”

Davies, who grew up in Coedpoeth supporting Wrexham, is also proud to be pulling on a shirt that pays its respect to the victims of the Gresford Colliery Disaster, due to his own family connection with the tragedy in 1934.

The detail on the back of the shirt is embroidered and reiterates the promise made by co-chairmen Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds to ensure, “appropriate and respectful observance of the Gresford Colliery Disaster will remain sacrosanct.”

Davies added: “I lost a family member in the Gresford Disaster so that means a lot to me.

“It’s good that we can keep our local touch as a Football Club and respect that heritage… it means a lot.”

Davies will pull on the Reds’ number seven jersey for the 2021/22 season, and was joined by number three Reckord and number one Rob Lainton in testing the new kit for the first time.

We will also be revealing our new sleeve and back-of-shirt sponsors very shortly, whose names will feature on the 2021/22 match shirts.

Chief Executive Officer Fleur Robinson said: “There has been a lot of excitement about our new shirts, and it’s great to finally be able to reveal them to supporters.

“The final kit design looks excellent, and I’m sure it will prove popular among our supporters as we put them for sale and welcome fans to our refurbished club shop.

“So much hard work has gone on behind-the-scenes, and we would like to thank Macron for all their efforts as the Club continues its successful and long-standing partnership.

“We look forward to developing our partnership with TikTok, which highlights the Club’s ambition to grow its global appeal. It was also important to the chairmen to fulfil their promise to ensure appropriate and respectful observance of the Gresford Colliery Disaster too.

“These are the first shirts launched since the takeover, and we can’t wait to see them in action ahead of what we hope will be an exciting season on and off the pitch.”

Macron’s Mike Davies added: “I'm delighted with the new shirts for the exciting season ahead.

“It's great to see so much positivity around the club; and a real honour to be a technical partner with Wrexham AFC.”

The new home shirts, replete with our new multi-national partners, are the latest exciting development off the pitch.

We look forward to welcoming supporters to the refurbished Club Shop, and work is continuing apace at the stadium ahead of the new season.

Retail shirts feature just the TikTok logo on the front, and our initial batch sold out in record time. Please keep an eye on our official channels for updates on when our second batch of new shirts will be available.

We will also be revealing our new away shirt in due course, as well as brand new Macron trainingwear for the 2021/22 season.
