Following the unacceptable behaviour seen at our last home game, against Torquay United on Saturday October 30, Wrexham AFC can confirm we have today issued 12 banning letters to those individuals identified as being involved, and enquiries are continuing. We have also revoked the season tickets of those identified.
Once again, we can only reiterate that these individuals do not represent us or our values, and are not welcome at our Football Club.
We hope that this action comes as a timely reminder that the Club will not tolerate this behaviour, in any form, from anybody attending the Racecourse Ground or when travelling to and from Wrexham matches.
Anyone caught will be dealt with in a robust and timely manner and will face the strictest punishments available to the Club.
We would like to thank the vast majority of those attending the game, who did so in good spirits as part of our highest ever home attendance in the Vanarama National League.
Thanks also to North Wales Police for their assistance, and to the supporters who came forward to help with our enquiries. Enquiries are continuing, and we continue to work with North Wales Police to identify all supporters involved. Anybody else identified will also face the strictest punishments available to the Club.
CEO Fleur Robinson said: “Saturday’s match was a great occasion, in front of our record home crowd in this league, and the actions of a tiny minority have let all true supporters down.
“The actions of these individuals do not reflect our Club’s values, and this swift action proves such behaviour will never be tolerated at the Racecourse Ground.
“Wrexham AFC is, and will continue to be, a welcoming environment for all supporters in line with our community values.”
Superintendent Nick Evans of North Wales Police said: “We continue to work with both football clubs with the intention of identifying and prosecuting those responsible for any offences committed which are associated with the Wrexham vs Torquay match.
“I appeal for witnesses to any of the incidents on Saturday to contact North Wales Police on 101.”
