Wrexham AFC Women fell to defeat at Connah's Quay this afternoon despite taking a lead into the break.
Rebecca Pritchard's first half strike wasn't enough whilst Rosie Hughes' stoppage time consolation left Wrexham with no points to show for their efforts.
Wrexham began well creating a few chances, but the heroics of Kat Jones in the Wrexham goal to deny three early Nomads chances gave Mari Edwards' side confidence.
On 32 minutes Wrexham took their oppurtunity as Lauren Reese fed Prichard through who finished superbly to give the Dragons the lead.
Half-Time: Connah's Quay 0-1 Wrexham
The second half began with the home side in control, and they were level within a minute of the restart.
A corner came in and dropped in the box for Chelsea Bloor to poke home.
Moments later, the game was turned on its head as Kristie Kural netted for the turnaround. Quay had their tales up and further strikes from Amber Bailey and Francessca Scott put to bed any potential comeback.
In stoppage time Rosie Hughes scored with a strong header from a corner, before less than a minute later Kural added a second from distance.
Before this one was out, Tamara Hamer was shown a straight red card for a poor challenge.
