Wrexham AFC will pay tribute to the victims of the Gresford Colliery Disaster ahead of our next home game, against Dagenham & Redbridge, on September 18.
As our nearest home game to the anniversary of the Disaster, in which 266 people lost their lives on September 22, 1934, we will hold a minute's silence before the match.
Many of the victims of the Disaster were Wrexham supporters, who had doubled up on shifts in order to be free to watch our match against Tranmere in the afternoon.
We ask all supporters attending next Saturday's game to join us in remembering the members of our community who tragically lost their lives 87 years ago.
