Wrexham AFC Youth are through to the third round of the FAW Youth Cup, after Welshpool Town FC Youth withdrew from next week’s second-round fixture.
Dan Nolan’s side opened the tournament with a 13-1 win away to Ruthin Town Youth, with Dan Jones scoring four of them and Connor Ross three.
The win – in what was the team’s first match back in competitive action for 19 months – set up a second-round tie with Welshpool.
However, after Wrexham’s opponents were forced to withdraw, the Red Dragons are now into the draw for the third round.
