Wrexham AFC are proud to announce that, following an unbeaten March, manager Phil Parkinson has been named as Vanarama National League Manager of the Month.
Parkinson led the team to four wins and a draw in the league last month, as well as beating Notts County to set up Saturday’s Buildbase FA Trophy semi-final victory against Stockport County.
In the league, the Red Dragons – who went into the month on the back of four straight wins – saw off King’s Lynn Town on St. David’s Day, before a 4-2 win against promotion rivals Boreham Wood a week later.
After a late victory in the Buildbase FA Trophy quarter-final at Meadow Lane against Notts County, Wrexham then earned a point on the road at Bromley.
Another big home win followed, against promotion-chasing FC Halifax Town, as the Red Dragons claimed a 3-1 victory at the Racecourse Ground. Wrexham ensured the month was an unbeaten one in dramatic fashion in their final game in March – coming from 5-2 down to beat Dover Athletic 6-5 thanks to two Jordan Davies goals in stoppage time.
Having started the month in fourth place, Wrexham ended March sitting second in the Vanarama National League table.
All at Wrexham AFC would like to congratulate Phil on the Manager of the Month award.
