CONTRACT NEWS | Paul Mullin signs contract extension

Striker signs a one-year extension with an option of an extra year

5 August 2022

Wrexham AFC are delighted to announce Paul Mullin has committed his future to the Club, signing a one-year contract extension with the option of an extra year, which will keep him at the Racecourse Ground until at least the end of the 2024/25 season.

The 27-year-old striker signed a three-year deal upon joining last summer and made an immediate impact scoring 32 goals in all competitions, during the 2021/22 campaign.

The Merseyside-born forward arrived at the club off the back of winning the League Two player of the season award, and he followed up his excellent form by winning the same accolade in the National League last year.

The honours didn’t stop there for Mullin, as he also became the club and National League’s top goal scorer, to help secure a play-off finish.

Speaking on securing the deal, Mullin said: “I’m buzzing to get this deal done. It’s not often in football you get to find a place where you feel settled, and I’ve got that here – it’s like home for me.

“I’m really enjoying it as I showed all last season – I’m loving it here at Wrexham.

“I want to be here for the long haul, I want to be on the journey and I want to take us up the leagues – starting with tomorrow, when hopefully we can get off to a good start against Eastleigh.”

Wrexham AFC Manager Phil Parkinson added: “We’re delighted to have agreed an extension to Paul Mullin’s contract.

“I’ve spoken throughout the summer of how important it was not just to sign new players but to secure the futures of our best players too and we’ve done that with Paul. It’s important as we build the Club’s future.”
