Tom O'Connor's spectacular overhead kick was not enough to earn victory in front of the BT Sport cameras, as York snatched an even later equaliser to force Wrexham to settle for a point on the road.
The result did extend Wrexham's unbeaten run to 13 games, however, as the Red Dragons prepare for another away trip next weekend, to Eastleigh.
