His Majesty The King and The Queen Consort visited the Racecourse Ground today, with co-chairmen Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds welcoming the royal visitors to our home stadium.
Members of the Club’s first-team, women’s team, youth team and Powerchair Football team were all involved in the day’s events, with Their Majesties visiting as part of the celebrations of Wrexham being conferred city status.
Before visiting the city centre, The King and The Queen Consort were received at the Racecourse Ground by Deputy Lieutenant of Clwyd, Lady Susan Hudson, and Sir Mark Hudson.
A welcome party of Wrexham AFC CEO Fleur Robinson and Executive Director Humphrey Ker then introduced Their Majesties to co-chairmen Rob and Ryan, who in turn introduced the royal visitors to staff and players from the men’s first team.
During the visit, Their Majesties were also talked through plans for the Kop Development by Strategic Board Advisor, Shaun Harvey.
After wishing the first-team players well for tomorrow’s match away to Eastleigh, The King and The Queen Consort also met Club President Dixie McNeil and one of the Club’s oldest supporters, Arthur Massey, with his daughters.
