LOAN WATCH | Mixed Results for Wrexham Trio

15 February 2022

It's been a mixed week for Wrexham's players out on loan as the temporary trio picked up a wide range of results over the last seven days.

Devonte Redmond

Midfielder Devonte Redmond started Saturday's away trip to AFC Telford United in the National League North on the bench as his side looked to continue their league season following a glamour tie with West Ham United.

Nathan Cameron gave the Harriers the lead two minutes before half-time, and Redmond appeared six minutes before time to help see out the game. Kidderminster and Redmond did so succesfully to pick up three points.

The win takes Harriers into 3rd and they're next in action tonight against promotion-rivals Hereford FC at Aggborough.

Cameron Green

Following a big three points and a place in the National League South Team of the Week last weekend, Cam Green and St Albans were brought down to earth with a 5-0 defeat away to Ebbsfleet United three days later (Tuesday, February 8th). Cam played the full 90 minutes which saw the Saints 4-0 down at the break before eventually conceeding a fifth and final goal.

The following Saturday saw Green host his former side Braintree Town - but the result would be another to forget as the Iron ran out 1-0 winners at Clarence Park. Green played the full 90 minutes once again picking up a yellow card on 43 minutes.

St Albans are next in action tonight as they face Concord Rangers away from home.

Jake Bickerstaff

Jake Bickerstaff made his full debut for Nantwich Town last week as they faced Warrington in the Northern Premier League. Warrington took an early lead after four minutes before Bickerstaff almost pulled level, but a cross into the box just evaded the youngster.

The Dabbers couldn't take their chances and on the hour mark found themselves 2-0 down. Bickerstaff and his side continued to press for something, and they did find the back of the net via Connor Heath, but it wasn't to be.

Days later they played host to Buxton but would once again fall short. Bickerstaff was one the bench for Nantwich on Saturday afternoon, and all was well 20 minutes into the game as his side took the lead. However, three replies from Buxton saw off the Cheshire-side with Bickerstaff unused.

Nantwich are next in action this evening as they travel to Stalybridge Celtic.
