Wrexham AFC have today proudly unveiled the Club’s official home kit for the 2022/23 campaign, alongside Official Kit Supplier, Macron.
Featuring TikTok as front-of-shirt sponsors, the 2022/23 shirt – which will be available for purchase both in store and online from 9am on Wednesday July 27, 2022 - is priced at £44.95 for adult shirts (M to 5XL), £37.50 in children’s sizes (5XS to S), and £29.99 in baby sizes (3-6m to 1-2 years).
The kit - dubbed ‘The Red One’ in a special launch video featuring co-chairmen Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds on social media - features an embossed Welsh dragon design on both the sleeves and back of the shirt, and will be worn for the first time during Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Macclesfield FC.
The all-red shirt also features an embroidered 1934 on the nape, for the second season running, to commemorate the victims of the 1934 Gresford Colliery Disaster.
Also on the reverse – including on the retail shirt this season – is back-of-shirt sponsor Expedia. The shirt is crafted from Macron’s Eco Fabric.
The kit was modelled by first-team star and Coedpoeth-native Jordan Davies, as well as summer signing Elliot Lee, as part of the launch.
Asked about the shirt, Davies said: “It’s good to see a new and completely different design on the home shirt for the new season.
“As a Welshman, it’s great to see Y Ddraig Goch on the shirt too, and as a local it’s once again a nice touch from the Club to include the 1934 tribute to the victims of the Gresford Colliery Disaster on the back.
“I can’t wait to run out at the Racecourse Ground in the new kit this season.”
the sleeve of both the match and retail shirt, while Ifor Williams Trailers’ logo also appears on the white shorts for 2022/23.
Wrexham AFC Chief Executive Officer, Fleur Robinson said: “We’re delighted to be able to reveal this season’s home kit.
“The Red Dragons on the sleeve and reverse look great, and we’re proud to be flying the flag for Welsh football in what we hope will be a memorable year for the sport in this country.
“It was also important to the Club, as outlined in Rob and Ryan’s Mission Statement, to continue to ensure proper remembrance of the Gresford Colliery Disaster. As ever, we will join the whole Wrexham community in formally remembering the 266 victims in September, and the 1934 on the nape of the shirt ensures this remembrance continues year-round.
“I’d also like to extend our thanks to our partners at Macron for their efforts, and look forward to seeing the kit in action for the first time this weekend.”
