Wrexham AFC Women’s first three pre-season friendlies have been confirmed, including a tough test against Genero Adran Premier side Barry Town United on Sunday August 21.
Steve Dale’s side will take on Barry – who finished seventh in the top flight last season and reached the quarter-finals of the Genero Adran Trophy – in Hereford.
Pre-season fixtures start a fortnight earlier with a trip to Shrewsbury Town, as Wrexham look to avenge what proved to be a rare defeat under Dale during last season’s pre-season fixtures.
The match, on Sunday July 31, will be the first big test for the team, who return to pre-season training on Monday July 4.
Wrexham then travel to face Merseyrail the following week, with all matches kicking off at 2pm.
A further fixture on Sunday August 14 is also to be confirmed. The new Genero Adran North season is set to start in September, with the fixture dates to be confirmed following the league's AGM next month.
