Wales Under-19s beat Gibraltar Under-19s in Wrexham

28 September 2022

International football returned to the Racecourse Ground for the first time since 2020, as Cymru Under-19s ended their UEFA Qualifying campaign with a resounding 9-2 win against Gibraltar Under-19s.

With 592 supporters in attendance, it was the national team's first game at the world's oldest international football stadium since Wales Women played Estonia in March 2020.

And despite the wet conditions, Cymru's young stars ensured it was a winning return with a big win, which saw them end the group in third place.

You can see some of the best of the evening in the gallery above, shot by club photographer Gemma Thomas.

The Racecourse Ground is also set to host Cymru twice more this season - Wales Women will play a friendly in November, and the Under-21s a UEFA Qualifying match in March. Find out more here.
