SUPPORTER SURVEY | Adam Samuels wins signed Wrexham AFC Women ball

Lucky name drawn following Racecourse match

14 April 2023

After our record-breaking afternoon at the Racecourse Ground last month, we are pleased to announce the winner of the signed Wrexham AFC Women football.

Supporters who joined the record-breaking 9,511 crowd at the Racecourse as Wrexham beat Connah’s Quay Nomads and lifted the Genero Adran North title were invited by email to fill in a supporter survey on the experience.

And Adam Samuels was the lucky winner of those who filled in the survey, with Head of Female Football Gemma Owen presenting Adam with his signed ball today.

On the day, which saw Rosie Hughes score a late winner after TJ Dickens’ incredible long-range free-kick was earlier cancelled out, Adam was full of praise.

He said: “It was absolutely fantastic. Everyone had a fantastic time, the atmosphere was brilliant and obvious the result was superb. I thought both teams were excellent, it was very, very competitive and as a full day experience it was absolutely brilliant - I cannot wait until Sunday.”

Wrexham AFC Women finish their season with the play-off against Genero Adran South champions Briton Ferry Llansawel, which will determine who is promoted to next season’s Genero Adran Premier.

The match, at Newtown’s Latham Park, kicks off at 4.30pm on Sunday April 16, and tickets are available to buy from the Wrexham AFC eTicketing website now.

Tickets cost £3 for adults and £1 for concessions, and must be collected from the Racecourse Ground.
