SQUAD UPDATE | Wrexham AFC Women

Preparations continue for first season in Genero Adran Premier

Wrexham AFC Women’s squad continues to take shape with their first game in the Genero Adran Premier, at home to Swansea City, taking place on Sunday September 17.

With pre-season training well underway, testing complete and fixtures ongoing to ready the team for the new season, we can confirm the following squad changes.

As previously announced, ten of last year’s squad have been handed semi-pro contracts for the new season, while new signings Hannah Keryakoplis and Keren Allen have also been added to the ranks for 2023/24.

Gemma Owen has been appointed Head of Women’s Football Operations as part of the changes to the Wrexham AFC Women set-up, and Steve Dale offered the role of full-time Wrexham AFC Women’s Head Coach.

We can also confirm the following the first-team players have left the Club, and we would like to thank all five for their efforts and commitment – on and off the pitch – during their time with Wrexham AFC Women.

  • Mia Roberts

We can also confirm the following players have left Wrexham AFC Women Under-19s:

  • Abbie Bellis-Hollway
  • Erin Dunkerley
  • Faye Jones
  • Megan Jones
  • Grace Orme

All five again depart with the Club’s best wishes for the future, and our thanks for their contributions while with Wrexham AFC Women. We would also like to wish Erin and Faye well as they embark on their studying abroad.

Finally, we can confirm the Club are continuing to support midfielder Lauryn Lyons in her recovery after the serious knee injury she suffered last season.
