Wrexham AFC's defeat to visiting League One side Burton Albion knocked them out of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy at the Round of 32 stage.
The Red Dragons' night started disastrously when Burton scored two within the first three minutes of the match. Undeterred Wrexham fought back with Sam Dalby bringing them back to within one in the fifth minute. The Red Dragons continued thier charge with several shots - however there was no further scoring, leaving Wrexham trailing at the break.
Burton grabbed a third goal just after the hour mark, and Phil Parkinson responded by introducing Ollie Palmer, Billy Waters and James McClean from the bench.
Jordan Davies did score Wrexham's second in added time - however time ran out on the hosts hopes of a dramatic late comeback.
