Wrexham AFC fought off visiting National League South leaders Yeovil Town with a 3-0 victory at an ice-cold STōK Cae Ras to secure their FA Cup Third Round spot.
A familiar opponent to the Red Dragons from recent seasons, Yeovil Town returned to North Wales looking to cause an upset but Wrexham extinguished hopes of a cup shock early on. Just 14 minutes in, Ollie Palmer scored from the rebound after his initial header was saved.
In-form Andy Cannon then closed the half with his second goal in as many games to give Wrexham a commanding half-time lead.
With the prize of a trip across the border to face Shrewsbury Town, Wrexham then withstood a spirited Yeovil resurgence after the break before Sam Dalby's classy chip deep in stoppage time sealed a 3-0 win.
