Aaron Hayden's 11th goal of the season ensured Wrexham moved level on points with league leaders Notts County after a dramatic finale in Maidstone.
Luke Young's typically sublime goal and a Paul Mullin rocket from the penalty spot had put Wrexham in firm control at the Gallagher Stadium.
But as the winter sun dipped behind the clouds, it was the Stones rocking under the floodlights as they fought back through a Jack Barham double.
Hayden had the last laugh, however - his hooked finish ensuring the 486 vocal away supporters departed one of the season's longest away trips in great spirits.
