Paul Mullin and Ben Tozer were both selected in the Emirates FA Cup Team of the Season, as the accolades continue to arrive for Wrexham players after the hugely successful 2022/23 campaign.
Voted for by fans, the two were in illustrious company – with three members of Manchester City’s cup-winning side also voted in.
Mullin was selected to lead the line after scoring nine goals in the competition to scoop the Golden Ball Award.
The striker was presented with the award at Wembley, having netted against Blyth Spartans in the Fourth Qualifying Round, before two goals against Oldham and a hat-trick against Farnborough.
Mullin then scored in the win away to EFL Championship side Coventry City, and was on target in both matches against Sheffield United before the Blades – who went on to reach the semi-finals – eventually won through.
Like Mullin, Club captain Tozer started every single game of our run to the Fourth Round – including leading the line against Sheffield United when his two fellow centre-backs, Aaron Hayden and Jordan Tunnicliffe, were forced off injured inside the first ten minutes.
The recognition follows both players having also been featured in the Vanarama National League Team of the Season, having been ever-presents in our record-breaking title win.
Congratulations to Ben and Paul, from all at Wrexham AFC.
