Draws to take place tomorrow; Wrexham to face Crewe and Port Vale in EFL Trophy

21 June 2023

Wrexham AFC will take on Crewe Alexandra and Port Vale in the EFL Trophy group stage, with the third opponent to be drawn tomorrow, live on Sky Sports.

Wrexham have been placed in Northern Section Group B, with the three EFL clubs in each group pre-determined with consideration given to ensure travel time is minimised and recovery time maximised for players.

The 2005 champions will take on Crewe, Port Vale and one of the invited Under-21 teams – with the latter to be drawn live on Sky Sports at 11:30am (BST) tomorrow (Thursday June 22).

Wrexham will then be ball number 38 in the northern section of tomorrow’s Carabao Cup draw, as we prepare for our first game in the competition since August 2007.

The draw will take place live on Sky Sports at 2.30pm (BST) on Thursday June 22, with matches scheduled to take place in the week commencing August 7.

Both draws will follow the EFL fixture announcement, with the season’s schedule to be revealed at 09:00am (BST).
