FIXTURES | Wrexham AFC’s Sky Bet League Two 2023/24 Fixture List Confirmed

- Red Dragons to start with home game against Milton Keynes Dons

22 June 2023

Wrexham AFC will start their first season back in the EFL with a home match against Milton Keynes Dons, on Saturday August 5, following the release of the 2023/24 Sky Bet League Two fixture list this morning.

The Red Dragons are back in Sky Bet League Two for the first time in 15 years and open the season at the Racecourse Ground.

Our first away game, meanwhile, is a first ever trip to AFC Wimbledon’s new Cherry Red Records Stadium on Plough Lane, on Saturday August 12.

The first league game under the new Racecourse Ground floodlights then takes place the following Tuesday, August 15, as we prepare to welcome Walsall to North Wales.

Our first month back in the EFL concludes with a match at home to Swindon Town on Saturday August 19, and away to Barrow a week later.

In a packed Christmas schedule, Newport County make the trip north to the Racecourse Ground on Saturday December 23, before our Boxing Day fixture has pitted us away to Swindon Town at the County Ground.

We then travel to Walsall for an evening kick-off on Friday December 29, before returning to the Racecourse Ground on New Year’s Day, when we welcome Barrow to North Wales.

The regular season is scheduled to end on Saturday April 27, with a home match against Stockport County at the Racecourse Ground. Our final away game is a week earlier, when we make the short trip to Crewe Alexandra.

Other eagerly-anticipated fixtures include our matches against Tranmere Rovers – who we face away on Saturday September 2 and at home on Saturday March 16.

Our reverse fixture against Newport County sees us travelling to South Wales on Saturday January 20.

After our record-breaking title battle with Notts County last season, we make the familiar trip to Meadow Lane on Saturday October 28, and welcome the Magpies to North Wales on Saturday February 17.

You can see the full, provisional fixture list below – please note all fixtures are provisional at this stage, and kick-off times are subject to change.

Today also sees the draws for the EFL Trophy group stage and the Carabao Cup First Round. We will learn which Under-21 team will join ourselves, Crewe Alex and Port Vale in Northern Section Group B of the EFL Trophy at 11:30am (BST), while we our ball number 38 in the northern section of the Carabao Cup draw at 2.30pm (BST).
