Wrexham AFC can confirm striker Sam Dalby has withdrawn from the England C squad for tonight's match against Cymru C at Altrincham due to illness.
The 23-year-old received his first England C call-up earlier this month, and was named in the final 16-man squad for the match - which takes place tonight at the J.Davidson Stadium.
However, after being restricted to only a late substitute appearance at the weekend due to illness, Dalby has been forced to withdraw from the squad for tonight's game.
Speaking on Saturday, manager Phil Parkinson explained: "Ollie Palmer had sickness and diarrhoea, and Sam was going to start at Bromley.
"But he'd been up all night being sick so we kept him out of the dressing room prior to the game.
"Sam is such a great lad, I said to him that I would like him on the bench and he said 'I don't feel great but I want to play my part', and he did when he came on.
"We need to assess him because we have got a bit of sickness in the camp and if there is any doubt, we will have to pull him out."
The Wrexham striker will now focus on recovery ahead of Saturday's match at home to York City at the Racecourse Ground.
