Phil Parkinson named Vanarama National League Manager of the Season

Elliot Lee, Ben Tozer and Paul Mullin in Team of the Season

11 May 2023

Wrexham AFC boss Phil Parkinson has been rewarded for our record-breaking, title-winning season by being named Vanarama National League Manager of the Season for 2022/23.

Parkinson, who also twice claimed the Manager of the Month honour – in September and January – led the Red Dragons to the title with a record 111 points, after a thrilling title race with Notts County.

And as well as scooping the manager’s award, three players have been named in the Vanarama National League Team of the Season too.

Ben Tozer is rewarded for having played every single minute of our title-winning league campaign, with the Club Captain having also scored four goals.

Midfielder Elliot Lee’s debut campaign – which saw him score both the first and last goals of an incredible season, on his way to 12 goals in 45 appearances – also sees him in the final XI.

And top goalscorer Paul Mullin, who also played every league game of the season and hit a remarkable 38 goals, features up front.

Llongyfarchiadau/congratulations to Phil, Ben, Elliot and Paul from all at Wrexham AFC.
