First-team stars Will Boyle, Erin Lovett and Libby Mackenzie joined the latest cohort of Fit Dragons participants as Wrexham AFC continues to mark the EFL Week of Action.

Fit Dragons is a free health programme for men and women, aged 35-65, who are looking to lose weight, get fitter and lead a more active life.

Run by our Community Trust coaches and part of the EFL’s Fit Fans initiative, each course lasts 12 weeks and on average helps participants to lose more than five per cent of their body weight.

Boyle, Lovett and Mackenzie were guests at the latest session, encouraging participants through their fitness reps and joining in group discussions in the Wrexham AFC Community Trust classroom.

Wrexham AFC Head of Community, John Widdowson, added: “It was great to get the players along to our Fit Dragons session, as we continue to showcase the Club’s community work during the EFL Week of Action.

“The scheme has already proved hugely popular since its launch in the summer, helping Wrexham AFC fans to get fitter and lose weight in a social environment with their fellow supporters.”
