Wrexham AFC claimed a stunning victory at home to Morecambe, defeating the visitors to North Wales by six goals.
A thrilling afternoon kicked into life just five minutes into the match with Morecambe's Joel Senior scoring an own goal - putting Wrexham into the lead. No more than two minutes later Paul Mullin followed up the opening goal with one of his own to add to the Red Dragons' tally. Momentum could have been halted when Phil Parkinson was forced into an early change - Anthony Forde hobbling off to be replaced by Jacob Mendy. But eight minutes after his arrival back on the STōK Cae Ras pitch - Mendy found his way around the Shrimps defence to put Wrexham three clear at half-time.
The Red Dragons returned for a futher attack at Morecambe in the second-half - Mullin finding a fourth in the 67th minute. The charge continued for Parkinson's side with Mullin scoring again, just ten minutes after his last - earning himself a first hat-trick of the season. To round off the late November evening, James Jones scored Wrexham's sixth of the match with a stylish assist from Sam Dalby.
