STATEMENT | Crowd trouble at Accrington Stanley

Witnesses sought following incident in second-half

21 November 2023

Wrexham AFC are appealing for witnesses after a report of a criminal offence being committed during the second-half of the match away to Accrington Stanley.

The match officials have reported missiles were thrown from the away terrace at Accrington goalkeeper Jon McCracken.

The action of a very small minority of attendees could have a big impact on the Football Club, in the form of potential disciplinary action, increased policing costs and reduced ticket allocations for future games.

As a result, we are asking any supporters with information that may assist ourselves and the police with our enquiries to contact the club on info@wrexhamafc.co.uk.

We have a zero-tolerance approach to unacceptable behaviour at Wrexham AFC matches, home or away. We have been delighted by the fantastic support we have received this season, and would like to thank all involved for that. However, we would like to remind all people attending matches that anybody found guilty of engaging in unacceptable behaviour will face the strictest punishments available to us as a Football Club.
