Wrexham AFC earned a further three points to take them to six in the EFL Trophy group stage against Crewe Alexandra under the floodlights.
A fast-starting Wrexham quickly took the lead with Jordan Tunnicliffe claiming the goal in the fifth minute of the game. Eight minutes later Jordan Davies doubled the scoring with a sumbline solo goal, giving the Red Dragons a comfortable lead at the end of the first half.
A second half scattered with chances for Wrexham came to nothing until Jake Bickerstaff was fouled in the area - resulting in the home side finishing the game with ten men and giving Wrexham a penalty. Captain Luke Young stepped up to take the penalty - slotting it past the Crewe keeper, sealing the match for Wrexham AFC.
