Wrexham AFC snatched victory in the ever-changing weather conditions at the STōK Cae Ras - just minutes before the final whistle.
The match got off to a bad start for the hosts when, in the 15th minute, the visiting side took the lead - finding a way past Arthur Okonkwo. The hard work was then doubled for the Red Dragons as Matty Lund found the back of the net for Salford City's second. Wrexham however were quick to respond - Elliott Lee scoring his 8th goal of the season, leaving his team trailing by one at the break.
Wrexham started strong in the second half attacking the Salford goal with regularity - despite this, however, they were unable to find the equalising goal they were looking for. That was until substitute Steven Fletcher found a way past the Salford keeper in the 88th minute. Just 54 seconds later the local lad - Jordan Davies - joined the scoring to the sheer delight of the Wrexham fans around the STōK Cae Ras; the Red Dragons' taking the lead for the first time in the final minute of normal time. Salford failed to find a way back in the five minutes of added time - leaving the whole stadium bouncing.
