The Red Dragons wrapped up a first home win of the 2023/24 season at The Rock against visiting side TNS on derby day.
A match that saw changable conditions in late October led to glory for the Wrexham AFC Women. Carra Jones broke the deadlock for the hosts in an even first-half. Both sides continued on in the tightly fought battle to the half-time whistle - ending with the Red Dragons a goal ahead.
The Wrexham AFC Women continued their charge for a second to extend the lead. Inevitably, Rosie Hughes scored it - lobbing in from outside the box to secure herself a 100th goal for the Club - an achievement she has completed in just 46 games. A third goal for Wrexham and a second of the day for Jones in the 69th minute put the hosts in firm control. Wrexham were unable to keep a clean sheet, however - undone by a late goal from the visiting TNS, a small negative on an otherwise excellent day.
