Aaron Hayden's goal earned Wrexham three points at a sunny Prenton Park.
Wrexham made the short trip to Tranmere for Derby day in the early September sunshine. Roared on by more than 2000 supporters in a packed away end, the Red Dragons set to work, however couldn't break the deadlock going in at half time.
Not deterred, at the start of the second half, still on the front foot Wrexham were in search of the opener. And the fans didn't have to wait long, in the 56th minuite, Aaron Hayden headed the ball into the back of the net for his first league goal since his 91st minute winner away at Maidstone in January.
