Dan Davies enjoyed a happy return to the Colwyn Bay starting lineup as they secured a 1-0 victory against Pontypridd United.

After a period on the sidelines injured, Davies came back at a pivotal moment as they continue to battle against relegation.

He came off the bench for a 24-minute cameo against Aberystwyth Town on Good Friday, before returning to the eleven for the first time since February.

It was a crucial win for the Seagulls as they overcame a fellow side battling relegation and moved only a point adrift from safety.

Owen Cushion was named on the bench for the fixture but did not feature during the 90 minutes.

Elsewhere, Scott Butler started for Marine as they moved one step closer to securing a playoff spot, with a 3-1 victory against Morpeth.

It wasn’t plain sailing for the Lilywhites as they fell a goal behind in the second half, but three goals in the final 12 minutes of the match earnt the three points in front of 1,222 supporters.

There are only three league games remaining for Neil Young’s side, starting on Saturday as they travel to Workington.

Back in the EFL, both Jake Bickerstaff and Billy Waters did not feature for their respective sides, as we continue the final month of Sky Bet League Two season heats up.
