All the key information ahead of tomorrow's match

12 April 2024

Wrexham AFC return to the STōK Cae Ras for league action tomorrow as they take on Forest Green Rovers, with the match kicking-off at 15:00 (BST).

With a sell-out crowd expected it is imperative all supporters familiarise themselves with the key supporter information.

While results elsewhere could see promotion happen, if Wrexham were also to win, supporters are reminded they must stay off the pitch at the STōK Cae Ras at all times.

If you're headed to the STōK Cae Ras for the first time - take a look at our First-Time Supporters' Guide here

The match is all-ticket, and therefore there will be no cash turnstiles in operation at this game.

Before travelling to the ground, please check the weather forecast and dress appropriately, especially those situated in the Fourth Wall Temporary Kop Stand.

We ask all supporters, even if you attend regularly, to read through the below information, as we look to reduce queuing times and ensure we can continue to operate at full capacity.

Please be patient with staff on the day and follow stewards’ instructions at all times. We are proud of our passionate support and ask that you all continue to represent our Football Club in the best way.

For a full list of ground regulations, please see here.

With the Sky Bet League Two season coming into the final few matches of the season, it is only natural that emotions will be running high with a chance of promotion to Sky Bet League One.

All at Wrexham AFC, including players and staff, are beyond grateful for your fantastic support over the course of the season, both home and away, that has spurred Phil Parkinson and his side on in our first campaign in the EFL since 2008.

Should results go our way this weekend, there is a possibility that the Club could gain promotion against Forest Green Rovers at the STōK Cae Ras.

The Club wishes to remind supporters that it is crucial the pitch is kept to its usual high standards, given we still have a home game on the final day of the season.

With that in mind, we wish to remind supporters about the implications of any potential pitch invasions, at any point, during the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign.

At the end of last season, some clubs witnessed unsavoury and unwelcome scenes with a small minority of people entering the field of play whilst other fans took to the pitch in celebratory mood.

It is a criminal offence to enter the pitch and the real-life consequences for these actions have been felt by many with some fans receiving criminal records which can impact employment, education prospects and international travel.

Pitch incursions are dangerous and anyone who does encroach onto the playing surface will risk strong sanctions that could include a ban from attending matches here at the STōK Cae Ras and across the country, as well as facing possible police action.

It is not only yourself that can be disciplined, as the Club itself could face sanctions as a result.

We ask supporters to respect that the pitch is for players and the stands are for spectators, and to avoid any unnecessary disruption at such a crucial point of the season in our battle for promotion.

Love Football, Protect the Game.

Gates open 90 minutes before kick-off. Please note, there will be no cash turnstiles in operation for this game.

As ever, we ask all supporters to get to the STōK Cae Ras in good time to reduce queuing times and ensure any enquiries can be dealt with promptly and well in advance of kick-off time.

Supporters should have their tickets or eTickets ready before approaching the turnstiles and, in order to help reduce queuing times, we ask that you only bring a bag if necessary (see the full ‘Bag Searching’ section below).

If you selected collection for your match-day tickets, please collect your tickets from the Wrexham AFC Ticket Office located on the Wrexham Lager Stand side, next to the Club Shop.

We urge all supporters to collect tickets ahead of matchday where possible, to limit matchday queues and ensure that they can take their seat in time for kick-off.

We also ask all supporters to consider using the print-at-home/eTicket option in future.

Please note, the ticket office will not be available for any other enquiries unrelated to the match, from 90 minutes prior to kick off.  This includes online account queries and away ticket collections, which will only be available up to 90 minutes before kick-off, and after the match.

Please remember the following key steps to help ensure a smooth entry into the STōK Cae Ras:

  • Print it out as a paper ticket, in its original size (A4)
  • Print on plain white paper, and do not alter the ticket in any way.
  • Ensure the print is of sufficient quality to be read by the scanners on the turnstiles, and not faded/discoloured.
  • Make sure you do not fold along the QR code.

How to use an eTicket on your phone

  • Load your ticket up on your phone before getting to the turnstiles.
  • Ensure your phone is carrying enough charge before leaving for the STōK Cae Ras.
  • Ensure your screen is not damaged in anyway.
  • Set your screen brightness to full.
  • Zoom in on the barcode section of the ticket to help the turnstile operators to scan you in.

Wrexham Lager Stand ticket holders should enter via turnstiles 5-10. We recommend supporters in blocks Y7-Y9 and LY6-LY8 should enter via turnstiles 7-10 to reduce queues at turnstiles 5-6.

Macron Stand ticket holders should use turnstiles 25-30. The STōK Cold Coffee Brew Stand ticket holders should enter via turnstiles 36-42. Supporters on the Fourth Wall Temporary Kop Stand should enter via Gate 25, located on Crispin Lane.

Please remove all face coverings when entering the ground, both outside and through the turnstiles.

Gate 25 is located on Crispin Lane, just off Mold Road. Please have your ticket ready for scanning.

Bag searching lanes will be in operation (please see below).

A refreshment kiosk, serving hot and cold drinks and food, is available behind the stand. Toilet blocks are also located behind the stand.

We encourage supporters to arrive early to enter the ground, as their will be increased strict searches in operation on matchdays. Only A4 sized bags will be permitted and will be searched and tagged by security.

You can see the full list of prohibited items in our Ground Regulations.

As previously communicated, supporters who encroach on the pitch risk facing a Football Banning Order as well as a criminal conviction, while the Club itself could also face a fine for these actions.

There may also be other implications for the Club, including restrictions on future away ticket allocations. This is due to potential safety measures the home Club are required to put in place which impacts on the availability of seating.

Persistent standing, blocking the view of other supporters, is not permitted. Standing and blocking the view of other supporters will be dealt with by stewards.

The Club understands the emotion and passion that comes with attending the match as a fan but must reiterate that the safety of players, managers and supporters on both sides remains our priority.

The vast majority of fans have – and continue to – support the Club in an appropriate manner and are a credit to Wrexham AFC, but we will seek the strongest possible punishment for those who enter the field of play or engage in any other unacceptable behaviour.

As in line with the FA initiative, Wrexham AFC fully support the ‘Love Football Protect the Game’ program. The EFL has reiterated this message over the Festive Period and you can find more information on the campaign here.

Wrexham AFC support the new measures that have been implemented to both improve participant and fan behaviour across the board.

Wrexham AFC operates a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination of any kind, and supporters are encouraged to come forward and report any incidents to the nearest steward, the Club, or Kick it Out.

As part of the new, tougher measures, anybody found to engage in ‘Tragedy Abuse’ could also face ejection, Football Banning Orders and criminal convictions.

Any form of Tragedy Chanting Is wholly unacceptable at Wrexham AFC and will be dealt with appropriately, in accordance with EFL Ground Regulation 9.1.

Supporters are reminded that no flags or musical instruments will be permitted into the STōK Cae Ras unless they have been authorised by our Safety Officer.

Should supporters wish to bring flags or musical instruments to the ground, they must contact at least 14 days prior to matchday. Fans should not travel with the aforementioned items if they have not been authorised prior to matchday.

The use of illegal substances and pyrotechnics, and the throwing of missiles, has resulted in various banning orders and is prohibited.
